Message From Foundresses

I vividly remember the founding years of the school in which my husband and I embarked on a journey to provide education and enrich lives of students, in the city of Howrah. From the very first day at school our motto was to create individuals who would be self-reliant and virtuous. We knew our journey to sleepless nights had begun as we constantly fought with ourselves leaving no stone unturned in bringing about the best for every individual, be it in academics or co-curricular.

I remember very fondly and gratefully those, who had been instrumental in shaping this great institution and bond with us, with such intense affection and fellowship. I have learnt that a child accepts education if the educator is sincere and dedicated. The educator’s happiness and glory lie at the sight of the soaring height of his children.

Over the years I have learnt that our children represent hopes and dreams. Parents, students and the school authorities are a team and complement each other’s effort. Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for a future job but a lifelong process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life and make our students the future of the country.

At St. Helen’s School, we hope to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and healthy environment where work, co – curricular activities will mold our students and spur them to be the brightest and the best.
